Xanthelasma lesions are benign changes found most frequently in the inner corner of either the upper, or lower or both sets of eyelids. They do not usually cause a functional deficit but given the coloration can be aesthetically problematic.

There can occasionally be systemic cholesterol associations and frequently baseline blood test is undertaken.
